Sunday Funday – October 25

Happy Sunday! Here are my recommendations for what to read, listen to, eat, and do from my adventures this week.

READ. The delightful webcomic Sarah’s Scribbles. Her comics are simply and speak the truth. She also recently gave an interview to help inspire other webcomic artists and included some advice that everyone, regardless of career choice, should hear: “If they can’t afford to pay you what you deserve, then you can’t afford to spend the time and energy to make it. Your work is valuable. Don’t let people take advantage of you.”

LISTEN TO. The Hall & Oates classic You Make My Dreams Come True. The song always reminds me of The Man…except last night when he farted in front of me for the first time. Our relationship will never be the same.

EAT. Betsy’s Veggie Burger at 24 Diner. The Man and I needed to get out of the house yesterday to prevent cabin fever from setting in during the rainstorm, and we were willing to tough out the inevitable wait for a table at 24. So worth it. That burger is easily the best veggie burger in town. (The Man had the 24 Hash with sweet potatoes and chili. He confirms it, too, was delicious.)

DO. Grab your comforter and fold yourself up into a cozy pita pocket on the living room floor. Pita pocket naps are the best way to spend rainy, cold days like this one.
